On the 4th of April, 2021, a magical event happened in this great museum. This event was called the Golden Parada, During this project, 22 ancient Egyptian mummies of the kings and queens were transported from their old home at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to their new resting place at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat city by means of art and magic.
