According to UNESCO, the city is “one of the most precious cultural heritages of mankind”, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. It is famous for its rose-red rock orchards, carved by the Nabateans around 312 B.C.

Explore the ancient city while admiring the picturesque Jordanian landscape. Take a narrow trail through a shadowy ravine that carves through sheer rock walls to reach Petra itself. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the Nabatean Theatre, temples, and royal tombs of the ancient city as part of your guided tour, and you’ll have time to enjoy your packed lunch in a designated area while enjoying your tour. You will also get the chance to try horseback riding at the entrance of the canyon and you will also be able to hire camels inside Petra after your tour! Finally, at the end of your tour, you are going to be driven back to the MSC Splendida Cruise ship at Ain Sokhna Port.
